The Faccin RP 3-Roll Bending Roll Press is a dedicated solution for shipbuilding, designed to form long hull plates up to 20 m (65.6 ft) into open shell sections. With forming forces up to 3,000 tons, these over-dimensioned roll presses combine high rolling capacity with the flexibility required for modern shipyard fabrication.
A solid, oversized structure and two hydraulic cylinders installed on the uprights ensure accurate rolling of high-strength shipbuilding plates, including conical and asymmetrical hull sections. Stable geometry and repeatable results help achieve tight tolerances, while the latest electronic pump control system ensures highly accurate positioning.
Depending on the configuration, the RP operates both as a bending roll and as a press, combining the speed of rolling with the versatility of press forming.
An advanced roll anti-deflection system enables the rolling of both large and small radii without compromising maximum plate thickness capacity.
The entire RP engineering and manufacturing process is managed in-house and subject to strict controls.
